*All Xpro CNC products (CNC machines, Lasers...) carry a full 1-year warranty on the entire machine This is including the CNC control. By “1-year warranty”, we mean a full year from the date of shipping or 2920 hours total of the machine being used, whichever comes first. The complete warranty details are available in the Machine Operator Manuals. An additional 1-year extended warranty may be purchased at any time before the original warranty expires. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. If not available locally, warranty parts ship same-day 99.5% of the time **Within 5 years, if a product malfunctions, the manufacturer will repair or replace said product but this warranty may have specific limitations. What can the Xpro Fiber Laser Cutting Machine do for your fabrication needs?
Xpro is a relatively new technology for fabrication that increases cutting speed by up to 5 times compared to plasma cutting.
How does it work?
For starters, the fiber laser resonator amplifies light using an optical fiber as a gain medium, typically doped with rare-earth elements. Laser diodes pump the fiber, exciting the ions and causing them to emit light. Pump light excites the ions, raising them to a higher energy level. FbGs are regulary spaced refractive index variations in the fiber that act as mirrors, reflecting light back into the fiber.

Can we cut aluminum sheets with your Fiber Laser?
The simple answer is: Yes.
Aluminum sheet metal can be cut with our Fiber Laser, and in fact, it's one of our most efficient materials for fiber laser cutting. However, there are a few important points to keep in mind:

Efficiency with reflective metals: Fiber lasers are highly effective for cutting reflective materials because of their shorter wavelength. Aluminum, with a wavelength of around 1.06 µm, absorbs fiber laser energy more efficiently than the longer wavelengths used by CO2 lasers.

Clean cutting: When parameters are properly set, fiber lasers produce clean edges with minimal burning, ensuring high-quality cuts.

Laser power and thickness: Cutting speed and quality depend heavily on laser power. With the right model, fiber lasers can cut thin to mid-range aluminum efficiently. Thicker sheets, up to 20mm, are possible with higher power, but speed and edge quality may decline at those ranges.

Alternative methods: Other fabrication methods for aluminum include punching, shearing, and CNC routing, though fiber laser cutting is often faster and more precise.
